Paid Time Off
You work hard, and we expect you to take time off to rest and recover. It’s important for your health, and it’s important to our company’s health.
For that reason, we have adopted an open PTO policy. However, there is one rule: You must use at least 10 days a year. This does not include sick days.
We are open to how and when you use your time off, but we ask that both you use it AND don’t abuse it. Our expectation is that you accomplish your assigned work without overworking your teammates.
When scheduling OOO time off, we need a 2 weeks minimum heads up. This allows enough notice to adjust client expectations appropriately.
PTO in Harvest
When you are on vacation, whoever is covering your project will take your hours allotment. For example, if you are working 10 hours a week for XYZ Client, your cover for the week will clock those hours on their timesheet and you will clock your 10 hours to Project [CCC-PTO] Paid Time Off and task 09.10 PTO: Vacation + Sick Leave.
Holidays
In addition to the days off you select, we also observe the following holidays:
- Memorial Day – Last Monday in May
- Juneteeth – June 19th
- 4th of July – July 4th (alternate observed day)
- Labor Day – 1st Monday of September
- Thanksgiving – 4th Thursday of November
- Day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday)
- Christmas Eve – December 24th
- Christmas Day – December 25th*
- New Years Eve – December 31st
- New Years Day – January 1st*
Additionally, Classic City is closed the week between Christmas and New Year’s. In 2023, that is the week of December 25th through January 1st.
*If these holidays fall on a weekend, the connected Friday and Monday are holidays
Holidays in Harvest
If you have an hours allotment for your client work, continue to clock those as normal. But, if you are on hourly projects, then you will clock your hours for the holiday to [CCC-PTO] Paid Time Off and task 09.11 PTO: National Holidays.
- Full time employees can clock 8 hours.
- Part-time employees can clock 4 hours in Harvest.
Termination
Because no vacation accrues, employees who voluntarily or involuntarily terminate employment are not entitled to payment of vacation at time of termination.
Paid Volunteer Time
In an effort to benefit employees and our community, we as a company support employee volunteer participation in community service agencies, organizations, schools, and other similar groups. We provide all employees with the benefit of paid volunteer time. Full-time Employees are given 40 hours and Part-time Employees are given 20 hours of paid volunteer time per year which can be used to volunteer for any company volunteer event or for another volunteer opportunity of their own choosing. Paid volunteer time does not include travel to and from the event.
Volunteer time must be approved by leadership. Leadership has the right to approve or deny paid volunteer time. Time spent volunteering before or after regular business hours or on the weekend can qualify as paid time off, so long as it is approved in advance.
Volunteer Time in Harvest
You will clock your volunteer hours to [CCC-DO-GOOD] Volunteer. Make sure to note the organization and the work done in the task description.
